Add to that Panzer Flakes (at PanzerFlakes.com), a site I've recently discovered and am now keen on promoting. I bought a music pack from their store (still a little bit rough around the edges), contacted them to ask whether they can supply it in different format and... ended up with them doing some commissions for my project. Cool people.

I've only used some of their character packs, but they have been very decent. The animations on the zombie pack are a little lame, but you can always replace them with your own.

That reminds me, I've forgotten a very great source for characters that I will add to the list now... Evolver.com!

Yes, the FPSCreator packs are all in .x format and are very usable... The only downside is there are no normal/specular maps in these packs. I definitely plan on buying more of these. :)

Nevermind. Found out they had their Model Pack 36 free if you registered an account so I did and it's all just .X files in the packs (along with their proprietary files). But it seems like there's no issue just downloading the pack and using the .X files.

Thanks again for the list. I've definitely bookmarked a number of these for later use once I get some extra money.

How did you go about converting the FPS Creator content packs? I'm thinking of buying some but don't want to be stuck with a bunch of assets I can't use. It sounds like they might be proprietary model files. Is that the case?
