I like answering here so people can follow the conversation.

The models you see were purchased from artists who use software like Cinema4D, 3ds Max, etc.  The &quot;game engine&quot; used to render the scene/animate characters, detect collisions, and move things around in a physically realistic way (boxes bouncing, vehicles driving, characters jumping) is my own software that I&#039;m still developing.  Once the engine is complete I can focus more on gameplay mechanics and Dead Shift will start looking more like a game. ;)</description>
